July 3rd Garden Update

Pulled weeds for almost 2 hours, planted butternut squash, Turk’s Turban squash and pumpkins, fertilized, and watered! It’s a hot one out there and the garden is thriving!

Green Bush Beans – I’ve harvested quite a few beans. They never make it home to be cooked.
Both eggplants have flowers. I’m not a huge eggplant fan but they’re so easy to grow.
Radishes have really taken off! A few are looking about ready to harvest.
One of the winter squash seedlings I planted today.
Saved a few cloves of garlic and planted them between my pepper plants.
Tomatoes are getting huge and covered in flowers. Interesting how quickly they outgrew the peppers next to them.
Corn and little winter squash seedlings. Corn is probably the most resilient vegetable I’ve grown. Look how thick and healthy those stalks are!
